And by the sweat of my brow, the units finally understand when they can move or do something. Told gpt I wanted to render the whole game in a canvas (like a rendertexture) so I could easily scale it all. That it solved perfectly. And favor composition over inheritance.</p><p>Soon I had generic entities and could create specific entities with their own components and behaviors (input controlled for player and the asteroid thing that just flies in a straight line). No magic here, I told it what to do at each step. It got the idea and initial code was ok(ish)</p>

Wuzzy<p>In the last two weeks, I made a computer adaptation of the historic <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/BoardGame" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BoardGame</span></a> The Landlord’s Game (which is <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/PublicDomain" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PublicDomain</span></a>). It is the predecessor of <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/Monopoly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Monopoly</span></a>.</p><p>It is clunky and ugly, but it almost works.
