What's your favourite book about writing, or your other craft?</p><p>If I'm ever asked to recommend a book on writing I say "Writing a Great Movie" by Jeff Kitchen, it's not just about movies.</p><p>(I never recommend anything involving the Hero's Journey because it's racist, misogynistic shit and isn't the basis of all stories.)</p><p>There's no definitive book on 3D rendering (although I have a technical background on the subject) or DazStudio specifically, but there are a lot of YouTube videos of varying degrees of usefulness.</p><p>But 3D rendering is photography, or even film-making, where you have to organise the models, set and costumes, as well as take the picture.</p><p>The most important thing for me is the Rule of Three.</p><p>I'm currently working on a portfolio for <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/merMay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>merMay</span></a> the picture below is a snippet of one.</p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/writing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>writing</span></a></p>
