Another a low key image, this time in color. The key seems to be a really steep curve in the highs to soften bright areas and darkening the shadows to taste.

Trying a low key image, which works especially well in B&W. I'd shot this dark to preserve the details in the lace curtains, and it needed only small adjustments to the tone.

I was given this vintage Pentax by a friend who inherited it from his father. Knowing my fondness for the Pentax brand, he thought it would find a good home with me. I must admit, though, I’ve yet to buy a roll of film for it—something I hope to remedy soon.

In a spontaneous attempt at low-key photography, I experimented with various household items to manipulate light. Instead of my K-1 II with a macro lens, I chose my Q-S1 with the 15-45mm to honor the 110’s compact charm.

In The Dark

I wasn't really satisfied by my walk in the #fog when I came to this #road. Then it just clicked. I had to run back and forth from my bike on the pavement to this spot to avoid approaching #traffic, but it was totally worth it. (And there wasn't too much traffic...)
