A runner I photographed at the Strides of Match track meet last weekend; I shot about 2000 images and hopefully I'll get about 10% of them developed this weekend. This time I found three spots with meaningful backgrounds, which I really needed because even though the 90mm lens I used this time takes nicer pictures, it blurs the background out less.

I am so grateful that I can explore the outdoors in my backyard. Yesterday I went on a quick hike in the Six Mile Creek gorge area and witnessed this icy cliff. In a few days as the temperature climbs above freezing this will all melt and float down to Cayuga Lake.

7:30am, it's 8F (-13C) but feels more like -14F (-25C).

It's 50F (10C) in my bathroom with the bad window. Sometime later today, I will take a really hot shower in there.

Right now, it's about getting tea water started and building an insulated nest on the couch.

College roommate sent me a picture from the middle of the night, she's in Alaska, and literally the only part of her I could see in the picture was her eyes. I told her she was dressed for Ithaca too.

Not sure how long it'll take them to finish but workers closed the east end of Cascadilla (near Gimmee! Coffee on Cayuga) at around 6 this morning to dig a big hole. They're running water out of a fire hydrant. Presumably a water main break?

Anyway, work was ongoing when I left the area before 9.

Getting out of bed to Genuine Snow Action. I may have to bundle up and go hoof around in this for a bit. Fluffy flakes still falling.

I got jabbed on Tuesday, and despite doing all the stuff that is supposed to help your arm not be sore, I had a super sore arm until waking up today.

Phone says it’s snowing right now, but bundling up and going out on the balcony shows that is has snowed and is currently paused.

I went out and got my double jab. Although a short walk from where I live to the pharmacy, I still felt my fingers and toes get cold inside my gloves and boots.

All manner of winter weather is in tonight’s forecast, I think it’s time for some hardcore hunkering down.
