If you still use one of these devices, you might want to start looking into alternatives.

"In an email sent to customers today, Amazon said that Echo users will no longer be able to set their devices to process Alexa requests locally [...] Starting on March 28, recordings of everything command spoken to the Alexa living in Echo speakers and smart displays will automatically be sent to Amazon and processed in the cloud."

A brand-new horror just dropped, the CL1 is the first computer with a chip that has neurons from lab grown brains integrated into it. The case has a built-in life support system (of course there are already people who shoehorned ChatGPT on it, because AI nonsense can't be far behind).

Thankfully, the high price point will keep it out of the general consumer market...The dystopia future is coming in hot still.

I honestly dislike this abomination and find it fascinating at the same time; it's also another step in cybernetic enhancement.

Figuring out how to keep brain cells active and healthy outside the body. In the future, what can be learned from this process of keeping brain cells alive outside a person's body could be applied in other situations. Like a person who is mostly chrome, except for the brain and perhaps a few other body parts.
